Sharp

Sharp has been manufacturing photovoltaic products for nearly 50 years and for six years has had the enviable position of world market leader with a 26% market share for 2006 (approximately 500 MW production).

An increase in capacity to 700 MW from January 2007 has been announced. Based in Wrexham, and with a capacity of 220MW, Sharp have the only UK-based mass production plant for PV modules.
