PV Atria & Glass Roof Light Systems

Solar Technologies' multi purpose PV atria systems and glass roof light systems provide a perfect opportunity for designers and architects to explore the optimum balance of light, shading and power production for today's urban and business architecture.

Getting the right ambiance can improve people's quality of life and productivity in working environments.

A glass-glass PV module has been developed to be installed in exactly the same way as a standard glass panel. The laminted glass-glass module can be manufactured to any size up to 3.3m x 2.2m and is available as double glazed units.

The spacing between the cells can be varied to provide the right balance of daylight / shading in the building. The electrical wiring from the PV atria system has been developed so as not to penetrate the drainage zone of the curtain wall or interrupt the thermal breaks.

Atria and roof lights are traditionally formed using curtain walling aluminium box sections with gaskets designed for the integration of glass panels. Specifically designed and developed details are added to the curtain walling system for use in an inclined position, ensuring that there is no water penetration.
