Solar PV & Renewable Energy Case Studies

Woking Borough Council - Brockhill

The Brockhill site is a warden-assisted residential home for the elderly. Accommodation comprises of a number of self-contained flats set out over two floors with common areas and facilities. The PV installation consists of 970 Solar Laminates retro-fit mounted onto a sloping tiled roof (approximately 35 degrees), using a galvanised steel channel support system, making it an 'on-roof' installation. The support system is attached to the roof's timber sub-structure through a number of galvanised steel hook brackets fitted under the existing tiles attached to the main structural rafters. The existing tiles have been replaced leaving a weather proof roof. The 82kWp installation is electrically connected to the Woking Council's private wire-way via the building supply.
